Making Parnell Homes Smarter
Parnell is one of Auckland's most established premium suburbs, and the homes here reflect that. Many are large, well-appointed residences where the electrical installation is expected to match the quality of everything else. Owners want technology that works seamlessly, systems that are future-ready, and tradespeople who understand the standard this suburb holds.
Smart Electricians is one of a small number of Auckland electricians who are approved installers for both C-Bus (Schneider Electric) and PDL Wiser. Aaron Rogers, our EWRB-registered founder, leads every significant job personally. We've recently completed a home automation installation in Parnell — we know this suburb and what it expects.
Smart Home Installation — C-Bus and PDL Wiser
C-Bus is the building automation platform behind Auckland's most sophisticated homes. It brings every system in the house under unified control: lighting scenes that shift through the day, automated blinds and curtains, smart heating and cooling, security integration, whole-home audio, and full remote access from your phone or tablet. It runs reliably, it scales as your needs change, and it is programmed — not just configured — so it works the way you actually want it to.
PDL Wiser is a powerful alternative for homes that want genuine smart control without a full C-Bus installation: app-controlled lighting, smart dimmers, automated heating schedules, and voice control compatibility with Google, Alexa, and Apple.
We design the system for your home, install the cabling and hardware, program every scene and schedule, and hand it over working on the day. A completed Parnell installation is the proof.
Smart Security — CCTV, Alarms, and Access Control
Parnell homes call for security systems that are both effective and discreet. We install CCTV systems, smart doorbells, motion sensor lighting, alarm systems, and access control — all integrated with your C-Bus or PDL Wiser platform where required. Systems are monitored remotely via your phone, and we set everything up to be straightforward to use.
EV Charger Installation
EV charger installations in Parnell are increasingly common as more households move to electric vehicles. We install all major brands — Tesla Wall Connector, Wallbox, Zappi, Schneider EVlink, and others — in garages and driveways, with full wiring, testing, and compliance documentation. Typical installation cost: $950–$2,500.
LED Lighting and Feature Lighting
Lighting design matters in a well-appointed home. We install and upgrade LED downlights, pendant lighting, LED strip and feature lighting, and smart dimmer systems that integrate with C-Bus and PDL Wiser. We work carefully around finished interiors and match the quality of the surrounding fit-out. Typical cost per light: $200–$350.
Heat Pump Installation
We supply and install heat pumps from Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu and Panasonic— including ducted multi-room systems for whole-home climate control, and Wi-Fi enabled models that connect directly into your smart home system. Typical cost: $2,500–$4,500.
Switchboard Upgrades
A smart home, an EV charger, and a heat pump place real demands on a switchboard. If yours hasn't been upgraded in the last decade, we'll assess it before any new systems go in and carry out the upgrade as part of the project. Typical cost: $950–$2,500.
